Dog Day's Artists Reception

Art Uptown on lower Main Street, Sarasota, invites the public to a reception in honor of the artists participating in the current Dog Day's Art Show on Friday, Aug 7, 6-9 p.m., during the First Friday Art Walk.The juried show runs through Aug. 27 at the gallery, 1367 Main St. Jon Greely of Sarasota won first place for “Rosemary,” an oil painting on canvas. Second place was awarded to Cecy Richardson of Cortez for “Dockyard Dog,” a mixed media work on paper. Third place went to Jamie Friedli of Sarasota for “Lost in Vineyard,” an acrylic painting on canvas.
