8th Annual Ferraris & Exotics On St. Armands Event Scheduled for February 13-15, 2009 - Benefiting The Child Protection Center, Inc.

SARASOTA, FLORIDA (January 21, 2009): On February 13-15, 2009, car enthusiasts from across the U.S. will be in Sarasota to participate in the Ferrari Owners Club Florida Region’s 8th Annual Ferraris and Exotics on St. Armands weekend event. The weekend kicks off with a spectacular reception held on Friday, February 13, at the Rectrix Aerodrome Center at the Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport. For the evening, the Jet Port is transformed into a metropolitan-themed venue, with an air of excitement and sophistication that is synonymous with the name Ferrari. Festivities will include classic imported and exotic cars, sophisticated jets, custom-built motorcycles, a fashion show featuring Saks Fifth Avenue, local boutiques, and T. Georgiano’s, sculptures on display from R&R Bond Galleries, a silent auction, catering by Michael’s On East, and drinks by Szambelan Vodka and Peroni. Over 400 guests attended the kick-off Jet Port Reception last year. Tickets are $120.

On February 14, Valentine’s Day, the St. Armands Circle Concourse will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This free event showcases a diverse selection of cars – from Enzo Ferraris and the new Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupé to a Bugatti Veyron. Held at St. Armands Circle on beautiful St. Armands Key, this is a rare opportunity to view a large collection of some of the most exclusive cars on the road today in a family friendly atmosphere. Last year over 80 exotic cars participated, and an estimated 4,000 visitors attended the event. A registration fee is required to display a car. This year, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars will be conducting demonstration drives of the new Phantom Coupé on Saturday, February 14, and Sunday, February 15, by appointment (see www.FerrarisAndExotics.com for details and pre-registration).

In addition to the car show, St. Armands Circle is the perfect place for the whole family to enjoy the Valentine’s Day holiday. You can take a leisurely stroll under the palm trees, visit unique specialty shops, and dine at a variety of fine restaurants. The white sands of beautiful Lido Beach and the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico are just a short walk away.

Also on February 14, make your reservation to enjoy sunset cocktails on the great lawn at The Ritz-Carlton Members Beach Club on Lido Key, followed by a spectacular beachside dinner and live entertainment. Tickets are $275 per person and seating is limited.

Sunday morning, February 15, begins with a Road Rally of Ferraris and Exotics sponsored by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars that includes a leisurely drive showcasing some of the city’s most scenic views. It culminates with a brunch at The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club. The Road Rally is the grand finale to a magnificent weekend of festivities that is a much anticipated annual event for visitors and year round residents. Participation in the Road Rally is not required in order to attend the brunch. Brunch tickets are $55 per person.
