Event Description

With Barbara Gail of The Rhythm Inlet. An “Introductory Workshop”, followed by a “Beginner Weekly Series”.

Workshop: Tuesday, January 18; 6:30-8:15pm. Weekly Classes (includes workshop): 9 Tuesdays: January 18 thru March 15; 6:30-8pm. (First night's workshop 'til 8:15pm.)

No musical experience needed! Welcome all adults and motivated teens. Youth with instructor permission.

Learn to play the most popular hand-drum, the W. African djembe! Technique, rhythm patterns, the language of the drum, how to find your place in the beat, & playing as a polyrhythmic ensemble, will be our focus.
