BRENDA ALCORN Named Dec. Featured Artist-Reception 12/7/12

This December Island Gallery West will feature BRENDA ALCORN's mixed-media art in an exhibit entitled "Treasures of the Sea." On Friday, Dec. 7th, in conjunction with the annual Holmes Beach Merchants' Holiday Party, Island Gallery West will host a public reception from 5:30-7:30 PM. The public is invited to enjoy fine art, free refreshments and the opportunity to meet some of the gallery's 28 member artists at Island Gallery West, 5368 Gulf Dr. in the S&S Shopping Plaza, Holmes Beach.

A native Floridian, Ms. Alcorn has devoted herself to her art since her retirement from a 30-year career as an English teacher at Manatee High School. Gyotaku (fish printing), collage and photography are her current favorite mediums.
