Event Description

The Hermitage Artist Retreat, Asolo Repertory Theatre, Gulf Coast Community Foundation of Venice and New College of Florida present a “Conversation with Oskar Eustis,” on Sunday, March 27 at 1 pm in Mildred Sainer Pavilion at 5313 Bay Shore Road. Eustis is the artistic director of The Public Theater and the annual New York Shakespeare Festival in New York City and the keynote speaker for the 2011 Greenfield Prize Award Dinner. Hermitage Executive Director Bruce Rodgers will interview Eustis about his work with some of America’s most famous actors and playwrights, and they will show snippets of The Theater of War, a documentary about the Public Theater’s making of Bertolt Brecht’s Mother Courage with Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline, followed by questions from the audience.
