December Art Exhibit & Public Reception for DIETER LAU, Digital Artist

DIETER LAU has been named December Featured Artist at Island Gallery West, showing his Digital Art in a display entitled “Expressive Espresso.” They say that all you need is love and perhaps a good cup of espresso, and Sarasota artist Dieter Lau explores and captures trendy baristas and gathering places around the world. Known for his experimentation of Digital Art design, Dieter takes reality and transforms it into expressive photographs. Educated in Berlin and working as an Architectural Contractor, he has received numerous awards for his traditional and non-traditional methods, and his December exhibit will incorporate both methods.

A public reception for the Lau exhibit will be part of the annual Holmes Beach Merchants’ Holiday Celebration on Friday, December 2, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Come join the Island Gallery West artist members for fine art, live music by Chip Ragsdale, refreshments and fun.

The exhibit will then continue through December 31 at Island Gallery West, an artists’ cooperative of 27 local artists. The gallery has been located at 5368 Gulf Dr., Holmes Beach, FL on Anna Maria Island for the past 26 years. Gallery hours are 10 AM-5 PM, Mon.-Sat.
