Workshop with Jeff Hanna of The Rhythm Inlet. Welcome all adults, motivated teens, and accompanied youth ages 10 and up. No musical experience needed! Learn how to properly swing the double-knobbed stick, called a tipper, to play exciting "jiggity jig" rhythms on the "Bao-rahn", "Boh-rahn" (both are correct), the flat, round frame drum of the British Isles. We'll also cover how to play the The Bones, a folkloric percussion instrument (once actual rib bones, now also in wood!). Instruments provided, available for purchase, or b.y.o.. For info or to register, call 941-966-5800. $25; discounted to $20 if register by Jan 8!
