African Hand-drumming! Intro Workshop and Weekly Classes

An “Introductory Workshop”, followed by a “Beginner Weekly Series”. 

Workshop: Thursday, February 10; 6-7:45pm. 
Weekly Classes (includes workshop): 9 Thursdays: February 10 thru April 14 (no class 3/24); 6-7:30pm (first night 'til 7:45pm). 

No musical experience needed! Welcome all adults and motivated teens. Youth with instructor permission. 

Learn to play the most popular hand-drum, the W. African djembe! Technique, rhythm patterns, the language of the drum, how to find your place in the beat, & playing as a polyrhythmic ensemble, will be our focus.

Note: If you decide to continue, your balance for the remaining classes is due at the end of the Workshop. The amount is determined by your original registration postmark date. Whether you choose pre-register and pre-pay for the workshop only, and then pay to continue the series, or pre-register and pre-pay for the 9 weeks in full, your final cost is the same, depending on your original postmark date.
