From the town square gazebo, the American concert band is a tradition we can all enjoy. The Sarasota Concert Band, under the direction of William Barbanera, enjoys a rich heritage and a devoted following of fans who love a good toe-tapping concert of their favorite music. Join them for this concert and you’ll be smiling and whistling on your way home. Just try not to smile!

Enjoy an evening filled with everything from "Majestica" by James Swearingen (music written specifically for concert band) and Bennett's "Clarinet Royal" featuring, (you guessed it) a clarinet soloist ... to the melodious music of the Sousa March, "King Cotton" and the musical "The King and I".

Sarasota Concert Band is one of the “Top 5” professional concert bands in the world, with Ringling roots back to 1925. As a 50-piece wind and percussion ensemble, their mission is to entertain the Sarasota area audiences so that they feel good about life. A nonprofit corporation, they seek to promote good band literature with concerts that showcase music in superior performances.
