Hearts Desire in the Village of the Arts will host two talented speakers for a mini-symposium entitled “Serene & Green” on Saturday, November 13, 2010. The event, from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm in the Garden at Hearts Desire, includes a light brunch.

“Experiencing Mindfulness” Betsy Nelson will introduce Mindfulness Techniques – when we are mindful, we respond rather than react. Betsy will discuss mindfulness-based stress reduction and its role in helping people improve their health, well being and quality of life.

Betsy Nelson is is a licensed psyhotherapist and stree management consultant. She is the developer and creator of the Sarasota Mindfulness Institute. www.sarasotamindfulness.org


“It’s Easy Being Green” Elsie Gilmore will discuss how average, everyday people can make small changes to their lives in order to reduce their impact on the earth. Living green can also help you live happier, healthier and save you money!
