Please HELP!!!! I tried a paver outside the back door.But as you can see after alot of blisters and sweating it really needs to be done by a professional.I have a dog and granddaughters who can not use the back yard together,LOTS of sand.I can not seem to get anything to grow except WEEDS!!!!!! Backyards tend to take on the personality of their owners. I enjoy trekking through forests, so I was determined to have that “wild look.” Unfortunately, that look is often mistaken as uncared for, or the dreaded -- “lazy owner look. “
Recently our grandchildren came to visit, and informed us that while exploring our yard, they came across pirates. I chalked it off to superb imagination, until I went to photograph a cardinal. Welcome to our Garden of Weedin’! This backyard needs an expert to bring it to it’s full potential. I don’t want to be labeled “The Terminator”, but many of my plants are on death row because I’ve made the wrong choices for our southern exposure and using Weed n Feed on the lawn might leave nothing but sand!
We built our house 20 years ago intending to add a pool; unfortunately other expenses like putting two sons through college took priority; we’re hoping you’ll vote to give us this makeover to finally have a backyard we are not ashamed of.

I live in a Town Home with a Creek out back.. the yard slopes and continues to slope with each heavy rain.. I think a 'retaining wall' will be of great help and I'd love to be able to plant a proper garden with a lawn furnature and just a nice place to enjoy the great outdoors. I have the yard registered with the "National Wildlife Federation" to protect the critters and use no chemicals at all back there.. I want a clean/green enviroment for all animals and humans... I love my yard and put some work into it myself, but $16,000 dollars would surley create a great habitat. Infact my neighbors have been watching me for the 5 years I've lived here, wondering "What is she doing now"....The HOA sends the monthly 'pest controll' and they now live in fear when getting too close to my yard although they do now respect my wishes to 'Keep Out'....
What a treat it would be to make this yard a "critter habitat" that can be enjoyed for years to come, as I do invite my neighors to 'come into my garden'.. sit, rest a spell... as they do enjoy it also! So if you would, come on, do your stuff and help the critters while your at it.
The photo I submitted does not do it justice, it must be seen to be appreciated because the Gators, turtles,racoons and a host of critters love it.

Hi, my name is Moose and I am a very good boy. I like to play, play, play (and play). This is my back yard. You can see it is dry and I have no grass to play in. I also need a tree or two so i can have some shade and somewhere to "you know what." I hate these sunglasses so shade would really be nice. I overheard my humans saying they need an irrigation system plus a pool for me to swim in. I am a very good swimmer and I can dive, too. Thank you. Woof.
