Many times during the year we all can identify with the phrase “I need a vacation”. While many families are constrained by children's school schedules, many others can vacation anytime of year. Fall is considered the lowest of low-season in Florida and coupled with current economic conditions, it’s a time when you can get tremendous value for your money.

For example, our family owned and operated vacation property on Siesta Key, The Flamingo House,

is a perfect get away for the discerning value vacationer.
The Flamingo House is a relaxing, Key West style property located in the heart of Siesta Key village, midway between the village and the beach. The property is located 1½ blocks from the amazing white powdery sand and turquoise water of Siesta Beach where nature puts on a amazing display nightly as people come from all over the world to watch the sunset over the Gulf.

Stay here and you'll have the best seat in the house every night and you won't have to worry about parking!
We are also two blocks from the heart of Siesta Key village where you can find many terrific restaurants (for every budget), live music, markets, banking, shopping, coffee bars, martini bars and more.

From now until December 15th, I’m running a special for WQ Magazine readers on my one bedroom/one bath (sleeps up to four) of $450 per week, inclusive of all taxes and fees for open weeks between now and 12/15. Nightly I can offer $95/night, inclusive of taxes and fees with a three night minimum.

You won’t find prices like this for too much longer as the economy turns for the better, prices will rise, and here’s the kicker. It’s not a dump! Since we are family owned and operated, we take a huge amount of pride in our rentals and we work very hard to make sure that we provide a ton of amenities to our guests so that they feel truly special.

To start with, when you arrive, you will receive a welcome gift of a lovely The Flamingo House coffee mug, biscotti, coffee beans & creamer. If you’re anything like me, that really hits the spot. Whether I’ve just arrived from Lakewood Ranch, the other coast or Ohio, when I reach my destination I either want a cup of joe or a nap.

So, if you’re the kind that wants a nap, you’ll find a comfortable queen size bed made with fine linens and quilts.

If you’re the kind that wants to first take a shower, you’ll find new snazzy towels, shampoo, soaps and complimentary body lotion waiting just for you.
You’ll also find a blow dryer, iron and ironing board for when you are ready to hit the village in search of food, drinks and friendship. You’ll be on foot of course, because you’re only 2-3 blocks from everything in the village (location, location, location)!

When you get ready to go to the beach, you’ll find beach chairs, beach towels and an umbrella in your closet. When you come back from the beach, you can utilize the outdoor shower to rinse off.

While your mate showers, you can relax and watch some 100 channels of DirecTV or surf the web with our complimentary broadband internet connection before heading off to the market where you can get a little something to grill or some breakfast fixings.

When it’s all said and done, you’ll thank me for a great first day and you’re just getting started--you haven’t even seen the sunset yet.

If you need a vacation, we’ve got one for you. Visit The Flamingo House online and mention WQ Magazine for the special offer mentioned above.
