Dr. Mario-Max Prince Schaumburg-Lippe is the son of His Highness Prince Waldemar Prinz zu Schaumburg-Lippe-Nachod, Cousin of Danish Queen Margreth II., and his wife from Salzburg, Dr. Gertraud-Antonia Wagner-Schöppl. He was born the child of the Princely wife Gertraud-Antonia, who holds a doctorate of veterinary medicine and master of law degree and is descended from one of the oldest Austrian industrial families, and Dr. Dr. Helmut Wagner, a doctor of human medicine and renowned scientist. After his birth mother’s second marriage to His Highness Prince Waldemar, his stepfather, His Highness The Prince Waldemar zu Schaumburg-Lippe, cousin of Danish Queen Margreth II. and part of the line of succession to the British Throne, adopted Mario-Max and he was confirmed by the German courts to be the legitimate son of the Princely Couple and official “Prinz zu Schaumburg-Lippe”. He already carried the Schaumburg-Lippe name through previous adoption by the aunt of His Highness Prince Waldemar, Princess Helga-Lee zu Schaumburg-Lippe, born Colonial Dame of America and a descendant of Edward Winslow and granddaughter of US Governor and Admiral Miller of Maryland, because she had no successor and wanted her endeavors to be continued. Through his charity work and ventures in the entertainment industry as a lawyer, presenter, TV actor and musical singer and dancer, he received worldwide recognition in the aforementioned fields.
