Eating Your Way Through Deliciousness to Fight Cancer!

Taste of Asia is helping the Team Tony Foundation in a big way. Every Tuesday and Friday evening beginning August 9 through September 30, when you dine at Taste of Asia, on Siesta Key, mention ‘TEAM TONY FOUNDATION’ and the Lum family will donate 25% of the proceeds to help support those in need while battling cancer. The award winning and downright delicious Lao, Thai, Vietnamese and Vegan Restaurant is dedicated to helping Tony McEachern and his mission to support those in need.

Taste of Asia boasts the most amazing energy I’ve felt from a restaurant in quite some time. The family owned and operated restaurant truly inhibits the mind, body, and stomach. The bamboo clad interior is impeccably styled and provides for a very intimate vibe while the outdoor patio of sorts is romantic and allows you to embrace the summer night. Décor and homage to Thailand is
enough to captivate the senses and then you realize you get to dine there as well. The Chicken Lumplings, without being too melodramatic, could quite possibly be the best dumpling I have ever consumed. The lining that holds the savory chicken/spice/veggie morsels is thin and light and lightly covered in a splash of soy sauce. The Panang Curry Seafood is full flavored yet subtle with woodsey afternotes and loaded with fresh scallops, squid, shrimp and vegetables. The Mussels with Sake Basil Sauce come piled high and already haved drowning in sea of unexplainable elixir.

“We loved Taste of Asia when they were on Main Street and now that they are on Siesta Key with plenty of free parking in the lot, I am so thrilled they want to help us, says Tony McEachern. Many of us are in training for the big October Cancer ride and want healthy food such as Thai noodle dishes with chicken and basil and bowls of seasoned edamame and noodle soups, while others want to enjoy the more creative side, like crispy duck with red curry sauce and pan seared basa with ginger sauce. Now to think every one of these mouth watering dishes will help someone that needs support and care is just amazing. I cannot thank the owners of Taste of Asia enough for their generous contribution.”

Mark your calendars for every Tuesday and Friday and help support cancer patients and their families while enjoying a fabulous freshly prepared dinner.
