From running to meetings, scurrying for search engine ranking, and all the while attempting to implement strategy as profit margins continue to decline…you decided there has to be a better way, right? But what?
Dissatisfaction with current results is the place to start. You decide there has got to be better answers than the ones you have been getting recently. You decide that you aren’t just going to think about making changes, but that you are going to take action.
However if you don’t know what you don’t know, how do you find out? Begin by asking questions. What do you do that directly generates income in your business and how could you do more of this? Do you need more prospects or do you need more to offer the prospects you have? Who are your best clients? Where do they hang out? Would that be a good place to find new prospects?
Look for what’s going well and see how you can spend more time doing that. Could it mean great customer service? Could it mean finding ways to increase the value you provide to your clients? Could it mean talking to people directly and meeting face to face? While you spend more time doing that which directly produces income, take a look around for where the leaks are located and plug the holes.
