Tips and Encouragement for Breast Cancer survivors and their families:

Trying to give advice to someone fighting the battle of their life is difficult. The best thing is your attitude – you need to be positive. I know, easier said than done, but with the help of God and his strength to guide you, you can prevail. Just a few days ago I was reading an article that may help as far as losing hair. It stated that using a cap, made cold in dry ice, placed on your head during chemo would help you to not lose hair. It keeps the chemo from entering the hair shaft, therefore allowing you to keep your hair. I know that hair loss is so demeaning to most and affects your overall well-being and attitude. The intense cold is what does it.

“If you’re battling breast cancer, I say do whatever you can to make yourself feel beautiful. Due to mastectomies and hair loss from chemotherapy so many women lose a part of themselves, a part of their femininity that made them feel gorgeous. So do whatever it takes to get that back — whether it’s buying a stunning head scarf, wearing bright red lipstick, getting a much-needed manicure or treating yourself to Xtreme Lashes lash extensions. Reward yourself for being the strong woman that you are! <3”
