For A Couples Evening Out
You finally have a free evening to spend with your husband or significant other and you want to do something special, even a bit different. The same old dinner and a movie just isn’t going to cut it. You’re seeking sensory stimulation and new experiences.
How about trying some of these ideas for a pleasant evening out?
Take a cooking class.
A hands on cooking class is a great way to learn new skills and spend some time together. If your husband is a stranger to the kitchen, take a more basic class. If you’re both sophisticated foodies, go for exotic or ethnic cooking classes where you can learn to prepare Indian or Thai cuisine. Who knows? It may make your husband handier around the kitchen.
Find some adventure
You won’t be able to do these ideas in a single evening but they could be the start of a whole new pastime and passion for the two of you. Sign up for a class in scuba diving or hang gliding and experience the thrill of weightlessness together. A class like this can really spice up a comfortable relationship.
Act like a child again
If you’ve been spending too much time in the world of grownups lately, cast aside your maturity and act like a child again by visiting the closest amusement park. Ride the bumper cars, the merry go round, and see who can scream the loudest on the roller coaster. Share some popcorn after the ride’s complete and hold hands in the snack bar.
If you don’t have an amusement park nearby, you can always ride go-karts or head to the roller skating rink. Don’t forget about the park. The swings, sliding boards, and see-saws provide lots of opportunity to nurture your relationship while acting like a kid.
Take a long walk under the stars.
This may be the most relaxing idea of all. On a warm evening, head out into the night for a long, leisurely walk. Walk slowly. You’re looking at the stars, not trying to get your heart rate up to burn more calories. Enjoy the cool breeze and fragrant smell of the evening as you breathe in the crisp night air. Hold hands and share your innermost thoughts. This can be a great relationship rejuvenator and stress reliever.
Head to the beach.
If you live near the ocean, head to the beach on a free evening and walk barefoot along the edge of the water while savoring the briny smell of the sand and water. The beach is so much more romantic at night and you can spend some quality time together without being disturbed by swimmers and surfers.
Cherish your free evening together and make sure you schedule many more special times like these.
