Sarasota's Largest Pumpkin Carving Contest

The First Annual Contest is Saturday, October 30th on Dolphin Avenue between Orange & Pineapple Avenue (right next to the Chalk Festival).

Entrants can submit their already carved pumpkins between 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. or you can purchase your pumpkin on-site and carve with other pumpkin carving enthusiasts. All submissions must be in by 3 p.m. A panel of local celebrities and artists will be the judging panel with winners announced by 5 p.m. Saturday.

Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th Place – Most Original, Most Scary, Most Funny, Most Artistic and Largest Carved Pumpkins. CASH AWARDS… First Place Adult is a $500 Cash Award, First Place for Students grades 6-12 is $100, First Place for Students grades K-5 is $100. Many Prizes will be awarded!!

Contestants donate $5 to enter. Carvers need to bring their own tools to create a winning masterpiece (some tools will be on location)!! An pumpkins left after the contest are used to decorate the Chalk Festival and sold off for charity.
