This is the only FLEA I want in my house......

flea Pictures, Images and Photos

Remember the quaint bedtime saying "sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite"? Well this is more than a saying; it can be a real nightmare!

Have you ever stayed in a hotel where itchy and prickly bed bugs attack you while you are trying to get a good night sleep. And this is not just the cheap hotels, in 2003, a businessman sued the Helmsley Park Lane Hotel in New York after he and a companion allegedly suffered numerous bedbug bites to their torsos, arms and necks.

This can also be a nightmare for your pet. Flea bites hurt them too!

Your pets can't complain or sue the hotel owner (in this case you and I). The good news for our pets is that we are benevolent and loving hotel owners and want the best for them.

So, now that summer is here (and with the warm weather comes fleas), it is really imperative that your pets be on preventative flea control medication. Many of these either work to kill the adult flea or interfere with the life cycle thus preventing their reproduction.

There are a number of good flea control products in the market. The science behind these products keeps getting better and better. This year there is a fabulous product that not only prevents fleas but also effectively stops and controls existing flea infestations and prevents re-infestation of fleas. The product is called Comfortis, and there is a lot of buzz around it.

I recommend that you take a look and learn about the many benefits of this new product. It may work better than what you are currently using.

Comfortis is the first FDA-approved, chewable, beef-flavored tablet that kills fleas and prevents flea infestations on dogs for a full month. Comfortis offers a variety of doses available for dogs 5-120 lbs.

Helps avoid fleas that may cause flea allergy dermatitis

Starts to kill fleas in just 30 minutes

Convenient chewable tablet

Includes the environmentally friendly ingredient spinosad

Side Effects:
Vomiting is a possible side effect. If this does occur, give your pet another full dose of the medication. If vomiting continues, contact your veterinarian immediately. Other side effects may include decreased appetite, lethargy or decreased activity, diarrhea, cough, increased thirst, vocalization, increased appetite, redness of the skin, hyperactivity and excessive salivation.

I do want to mention in closing that I'm NOT a fan of BIG Pharma, there have been cases of dogs with adverse reactions, even death. I have provided a link to some reviews of Comfortis..you can make an educated decision on the right product for your pet.

At the moment Comfortis is only available to dogs.

Peace and Pet Love!
