Butterfly Effect Grand Opening is a Huge Success!

Last week we brought you the announcement of the Butterfly Effect’s Grand Opening and as we anticipated it was a major success! At the top of the event there was a crowd waiting at the doors to check out this hot new holistic beauty boutique!

Located in the brand new uber-chic Citrus Square Plaza in Sarasota, FL the Butterfly Effect is a long awaited welcome addition carrying a range of bath, beauty, skin care and custom blended mineral makeup.

Behind the Butterfly Effect is our very own eco-beauty expert Shayna Teicher. I had an opportunity to ask her what her motivation was in creating a very minimal design layout for the shop, “My intention is not to carry a million lines. If you have a skin care issue I should be able to address it within one to three (product) lines because ultimately it’s not just about selling stuff to people, but it’s about helping people find what they need to enrich their life and then they can pass that on.”



Why makeup?

“I love makeup! But it’s not about women “making up”, it’s not about covering our faces, feeling like we need to be perfect, it’s about taking the things we love about ourselves; our eyes or our lips and feeling as confident as we can feel and making other women feel good about themselves. Women are so powerful and we have the capacity to love and to nurture, if we nurture that in each other it can make a really big difference.”

What is the Butterfly Effect?

“The Butterfly Effect is the concept that very small actions can create a huge wave of change. A butterfly flapping its wings on one side of the earth can create this expanding effect that can affect the path of a tornado on the other side of the earth, so every time we feel that we can’t make a difference or that we’re too small, think about if everybody did that, you don’t know that with one small action you can change someone’s attitude and outlook. We have opportunities everyday to make tiny seemingly meaningless acts and to use them to promote positive change in the world.”

What’s your favorite product and why?

“It would have to be the LaLicious sugar scrub. It’s all natural, (contains )no parabens or synthetic preservatives, plus contains antioxidants. In addition to goodie bags filled with product samples guest enjoyed champagne and decadent chocolate nibbles from Divinia Jeanne’s Chocolate Heaven. Also a part of the festivities was Samantha Handrich of RX Results on the ready to provide complimentary chair massages. I can tell you she has magic hands! Ladies from the Pineapple Holistic Day Spa pampered guests with manicures and Angela Brakestone gave mini-spa facials using the Nu Skin Galvanic Spa System with AgeLoc, a cutting-edge, patent-pending technology designed to smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles and rejuvenate your complexion. This amazing take-home spa treatment will be available for purchase at the Butterfly Effect.



A very unique product also available is the Lumina Health Product line.
