1. Wright, Thomas. HISTORY OF IRELAND. From the Earliest Period of the Irish Annals, to the Present Time. he London Printing & Publishing Co. Ltd. Nd, London & NY. Hardcover. Illustrated by H. Warren (illustrator). Small 4to. 3 Volumes. Numerous b/w full page engravings, text illustrations and decorations including a frontispiece and half-title. Vol. I: Full black leather, Vols. II & III: Half dark green leather over marbled paper covered boards. 5 raised bands, gilt lettering and devices tooled in compartments, all edges marbled, marbled endpapers. Volume I married to volumes II & III. Extremities including pressure points lightly to moderately bumped, rubbed and worn. Front head joint on vol. I split two inches. Spines lightly sunned. Boards lightly scuffed and soiled with few, minor gouges. Top page edges dust soiled. Edges and pages lightly toned with light scattered foxing and staining. Bookplate to front paste-down in vol. I. Juvenile pencil notation to front flyleaf in vol. I. Half of first signature sprung in vol. I. Few signatures starting to spring in vol. I. Still quite good. A sound, clean and tight set.

2. O’Carroll, John J. AUTHENTIC HISTORY OF IRELAND FROM THE EARLIEST TIMES DOWN.Two volumes in one. Chicago, IL: J. J. Collins’ Sons, (1912). 2 volumes bound as 1 vol. 847 pp. Text in English and Gaelic. Hardcover. Large 8vo. Green cloth. Gilt lettering to spine, top edge dyed. Minor bumping and rubbing to extremities. Head and heel slightly worn, corners starting. Spine slightly sunned. Few, faint scattered stains on boards and edges. Edges and pages lightly to moderately toned with faint, very light scattered foxing and staining. Hinges weak and starting to crack. Interior still clean and tight. Very good-. (2 copies available)


3. Joyce, P. W. SHORT HISTORY OF IRELAND: FROM THE EARLIEST TIMES TO 1608. Longmans, Green, and Co., London, 1893. Hardcover. 1st Edition. Small 8vo. Folding, color map. 565 + 24 ads pp. Dark green cloth. Covers lightly rubbed at extremities and hinges; former owner's name on title-page, else a nice, tight, clean copy.
