March 26th is Tennessee Williams' Birthday

On March 26, 1911, American playwright Tennessee Williams was born in Columbus, Mississippi. His works featured Southern settings and include; The Glass Menagerie, Night of the Iguana, and two Pulitzer Prize winning plays, A Streetcar Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.  In celebration of Williams' birthday, A. Parker's Books and Book Bazaar offer the following two titles:



Williams, Tennessee.  SELECTED PLAYS.  Franklin, PA: Franklin Library, 1980. Limited edition. Signed by the author. Several sepia tone illustrations by Herbert Tauss. 565 pp. Hardcover. Large 8vo size. Full brown leather. All edges gilt, with gilt decoration to spine and boards. Light foxing to edges and preliminaries. Else, a nice copy. Very good.

Williams, Tennessee.  MEMOIRS.  New York: Doubleday, ( 1975 ). Signed and inscribed by the author. 264 pp. Hardcover. 8vo. Redish Pink cloth backed, paper covered boards. Head and heel bumped and rubbed; tiny wear tear tom head; corners bumped; top edges and endpapers lightly foxed. Interior clean. Housed in moderately rubbed and worn dust jacket, with small chips to head , heel and corners of dustjacket. Very good-/Very good-.
