The Use of Essential Oils in Cancer Therapy

In our 35 years of "fighting" - aka "the war on cancer", little has changed in the occurrence of cancer in our population, if anything, we have seen an increase. Part of this is due to early detection based on newer diagnostic imaging and computer technologies. The present day standards of treatment are chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and transplantation. A recent statement out of John Hopkins reveals that such treatments must include support of the body's immune system through diet, supplementation and exercise. Being a cancer survivor myself, I found the only way to "right" myself through radiation and surgery was with the above alternatives, in addition to the wonderful support that essential oils gave me, both physically and emotionally. This experience started me on the path as an holistic healer, committed to the empowerment of the individual in their journey toward wellness. According to the studies of Dr. Giraud-Robert, aromatherapy improves the patients' quality of life in three ways. It reduces side effects of conventional treatment, stimulates the natural defenses and drains toxins from the liver and kidneys.
