Tips to Preserve Your Hair Color Between Appointments.

Hello, I'm Erin from Inspirations Salon. Being a stylist for a little more than half my life has made me realize how much I have enjoyed my journey with "hair." I am forever learning and figuring new ways to correct or perfect the individual work that I do for clients. I love to educate each and every one of my clients about their hair. By their next appointment, I can tell they are following the personalized regimen I’ve given them at home. The art of being a good stylist is listening carefully with patience and understanding people's expectations. My staff and my self love to offer our helpful hair tips with you! I’ll begin by sharing my two best secrets for preserving your hair color and still have it looking fresh and healthy when you go back to the stylist.

First, wash your hair with cool water. The cuticle stays closed when washing the hair this way, keeping the color molecules from falling out. Reds, Blondes, and Brunettes stay fresher longer. Second, my favorite shampoo and conditioner is Pureology® which is specifically made for color-treated hair. This product seems to work extremely well in keeping hair looking its best. Florida's sun and water are the two worst elements working against your hair. Pureology® has a way of defending off these culprits which set into the hair, damaging it and drying it out. Use this line for one week and watch your hair become healthy -- as if it were never chemically touched! If you are the type of person that goes into the salon and pays over $100.00 for your hair, but then uses .99 to $3.00 a bottle brand products, it’s time to break the habit! I’ll be happy to make suggestions for your particular hair type, but the choice is entirely up to you. Watch for more tips....
