Tomorrow’s Tennis Superstars Socialize with Locals at the Player’s Party

High above the Sarasota bay front, Sarasota Open Foundation charity founders, local business elite and international tennis players took in the awe-inspiring sunset at the annual Player’s Party hosted this year by Foundation President, Jesse Biter and his wife Katie in their Marina Tower downtown penthouse.

On site, local and international business leaders from companies like Flight Source, My Realty Company, Firesafety International, and Michael Saunders & Company networked with Foundation supporters and athletes.  The executives from Sarasota Open sponsors Iberia Bank, New College and Signature Sotheby’s mingled with the players, coaches and fans.  Food from Fete Catering and attended bars by ‘Jessie Jane’ provided impeccable services throughout the evening.

Giovani Migliorini from Café Epicure/Jolly’s – a longtime tennis enthusiast – hosted an international roster of players, coaches and local female fans for an after-party dinner at his downtown establishment.  Great Britain, Scotland, Croatia and France were well represented.  Sarasota Open is quickly becoming an international ‘must attend’ event.  It’s a tournament where friends who trained and grew up together honing their tennis skills can reunite and swap stories.  The Sarasota/Bradenton area is ‘home’ to many of these athletes who trained here at IMG (formerly Bollettieri’s) , Hurricane Tennis or Bath and Racquet.

One young, 11 year-old hopeful was in attendance at the Player’s Party collecting autographs and laying the ground-work for his future.  Graham Conron has been playing tennis since he was 2 ½ years old.  At the ripe old age of 11, he is currently ranked #71 in the Florida Juniors USTA Division.  He has the attitude and aptitude to go far.  The athletes competing at the Sarasota Open might very well have met their match in years to come.
