Why Blog? – Stacy Alario, FCBI American Business Brokerage

If you have been too busy keeping your business afloat the past few years to take advantage of online marketing, it is understandable. When you spend precious time helping current customers, ordering inventory, handling the day to day bookkeeping and paperwork, etc., it is hard to find time to market your business with profitable paid advertising, press releases, social media marketing, etc.

It is becoming a standard that if you want more customers and more business, you have to have an online presence. Even if you are paying an outside source to handle Web design and online marketing, you can be instrumental in building your online presence with blogging.

Why Businesses Blog?

In addition to minimal or no cost, blogs can be beneficial in providing results you cannot get any other way; unless your advertising and marketing budget is unlimited. Regular blogging can attract tech savvy readers to your business, and thus potential customers.

The more readers you can attract to your blog, the more opportunities you will have to sell your products or services. Blogs can create a buzz. When you post a blog, you “open it up for discussion,” inviting participation from readers and a larger market of potential customers.

When readers submit a comment on your blog, they provide you with information and hopefully spread the word about your products or services. If used properly, blogs can be a great source for customer feedback. Instead of costly market testing and surveys, you get real time responses from real people.

Finally, blogs can function as a central location or home base. From your blog, visitors can journey off to a variety of social media tools you use, like Twitter®, Facebook®, etc. and more importantly, your Website.

Great advice Stacy! Our customers at K2 Scrapbook Studio really respond to Jessica's blogs and love reading them! It also lets your customers get to know the personal side of you as well, if you choose.
