Painting started later and I have been teaching and working for over 35 years. I am so happy now that I have moved to a new place. It is not only a change from city to country living but integrating into another culture which has gone back in time. I live amongst Mexican country folks that are at a survival level and loving every moment of their lives. It is truly an inspiration. It brings you to your center and reality of what is important in your human experience. Thanks

Finally got back in tonight and got your message, thanks for the compliments! Coincidentally, one of my first art jobs was as a layout artist for American Leprosy Missions. I also went to Brazil, Paraguay and Columbia and saw many leper colonies firsthand. Your picture was very moving and was my favorite. I am preparing tonight for a show at the Dancing Crane Gallery in Bradenton's Village of the Arts (check the events listing for more details) where I am showing some of my illustrative works. I figure it's the least I could do... they are all putting up w/ our overly persistent requests for VOTES on a non-stop basis!! :) It's been fun tho... we're talking to all our friends every night! They all really want us to win. We've got a big fan club it seems! That warms the heart any day and makes up for all the negativity that is getting put out there too. It's funny, because when I saw you'd voted for us, I knew exactly who you were b/c YOU were on every page that I went to too!! HAHA! Do you have a shop or do you work from home? I think that's really neat you'll gain more recognition for your work. YOu must feel very proud. I totally admire artists... it's a talent I've always wished came more naturally for me.
