I'm a silversmith and lapidary (stone cutter) with a shop in the Bradenton Village of the Arts, where I do custom jewelry design and also have a huge stock of new age and metaphysical stones. As the jewelry instructor for the Sarasota School Board's Adult Community Education program, I teach classes in beginner's and advanced beaded jewelry, and also give private lessons in silversmithing, stone cutting, precious metal clay, polymer clay jewelry and beadmaking. Shop hours are Thursday thru Saturday 11-4, and don"t miss the First Friday Art Walks, first Friday of each month from 6-9:30. Stop by and browse with a glass of wine! I'm located in the Dancing Crane Gallery 1019 10th Ave West. You can also see my online store at www.dragonfirecollection.com

Hi Colleen,
Yes I am bringing a bench or 2, and some other things. I use to be in the Village with Marina Adair. When she retired and went to work for Ford, I was actually running her place for awhile. That was a couple of years ago. I am hoping that The Dancing Crane is a busy studio. Do you do well there? She was showing me the back shed area and wondering if I would like to rent it............But I think I will see how the consignment goes first. Beverly seems to be a really nice lady. I do have things waiting approval for "a call to artists" I hope I get picked!!!!! I will see you at the November 6th. anniversary party, if not before. Christen
Colleen, Thanks for the invite. I've never been to a Women of Moxie meeting...yet. Things are still a bit crazy for us right now so I will have to pass this time. I will be spending the next couple of nights trying to get my house back in order. We had flood damage in our family room from the storm last week & upon further investigation we found that it had been leaking for some time. We had to tear out the drywall, insulation & my fireplace! I want to get it done before the weekend since Dave & I are going out of town. I still want to visit your garden, it sounds so nice. When the show gets closer send me the info & I can send it to our customers too. Lisa
Colleen, I wanted to tell David sorry he didn't win the artist contest. He does beautiful work. Does he show at the Dancing Crane too? Also, I happened to look down at your comment page & seen that you replied to my earlier comment but it went to your page instead of mine? We may need to fertilize the poor thing to give it a boost, I would keep it at about 8-12" deep closer to the surface too so it's in the warmest part of the water. If you don't have any luck, I will trade it out for a different plant for you. I saw you on the commercials, you did great. looks like you had alot of fun too! Thanks for voting in our contest. Lisa
Hi Colleen!! I wanted to say THANK YOU for voting for our horrendous backyard! No kidding it's BARE! The bad thing is..... that pretty much depicts the whole property! We tried to clear all the overgrown weeds away so one of these days we can get some sod. (still no sod yet tho!) :) I saw that you have a shop downtown! That's so cool! I head out to the art festival every once in a while. I'll definiately have to stop by and say hello next time there is one! (I also LOVE making jewelry too... never tried silversmithing, but sure do love SILVER!) You are so sweet to vote for us. Thank you for your support!!!!!!! :) Luv, Heather

Thanks for supporting David! The plant is barely hanging on, just 3 tiny leaf heads left. It's been in a fishless pond since I talked to you, but doesn't seem to be coming back. Any suggestions?
