The tagline for Tallulah’s Glossary Mineral Gloss is all about kissing. And once I applied the lip gloss, I felt like my lips were just calling to be kissed. Moist, plump and glistening, as I looked in the mirror I couldn’t help thinking “Who wouldn’t want to kiss those lips?”
When I opened the package, I immediately knew that the Brazilia Glossary was going to be a perfect shade for my lips; the bronzy color coordinated well with lipsticks already in my collection. I also immediately decided that the Punk Rock Pink shade was not going to be for me. But since I’m a reviewer, I was compelled to try it – all the while believing I would never leave the house. The hot pink shade in the tube transformed on my lips to a completely different and much more subtle color. Not only have I worn Punk Rock Pink Glossary over lipstick for a night out on the town, I’ve also worn it solo by day. Two valuable lessons were reinforced here: You’ll never know if you like something unless you try it, and it’s what’s inside the package that counts.
Made with minerals, Glossary was developed with MH5, the developer’s patent-pending combination that enhances both the fullness and the smoothness of the lips with its humectant effect. True to its word, the gloss designed to last for hours definitely had a plumping effect on my lips. Everything about the product is designed to keep you kissing longer with healthful ingredients including castor oil, antioxidants and natural sunscreen. The product is also created without paraben, a preservative present in many cosmetics which has been found to have an estrogenic effect associated with breast cancer.
Sealed with a kiss, the packaging is just as fun as wearing the lip gloss. Each gloss comes with catchy quotes on the packaging. “High impact kiss quickens your pulse to 100 beats per minute. Who needs the treadmill?” and “The brain has kissing errors that help lovers find each others lips in the dark, hello lover” are just a few of the kiss-inspiring quotes.
Sexy, eye-catching lips without any artificial stickiness or taste, I’m inspired! The freshly kissed look just inspires more kissing, right? For now, Glossary is former runway model Amy Wheeler’s sole product, proving that sometimes less is more. Let’s hope she continues to add to her make-up line. According to Tallulah’s website, Simply Spoiled is the only retailer in the area where you’ll find Glossary.
