- About Me
- Moving Ethos was founded by Courtney Smith in 2006 as an effort to further the artform of dance on the West coast of Florida. In 2007, Moving Ethos acquired the talented Leah Verier-Dunn as co-director. Together, these two Sarasota natives are giving back to the community that fostered their artistic growth, while bringing the arts back into the spotlight of human life. In 2008, the company became a non-profit corporation with it's 501c3 tax exempt status.
The mission of Moving Ethos is to reflect our culture and move our people through art that is accessible to all. The vision is to provide our community with art that educates, uplifts and inspires through outreach, classes and performances.
- Interests and Hobbies
- Performances & Projects - ranging from formal concerts in traditional places to informal shows in unusual spaces
Classes - teaching movement and dance to both the professional bound student and the community
Production - producing concerts for local artists to assist them in reaching their artistic goals
Community Outreach - workshops, classes and performances designed to enlighten and inspire through the art of movement
Residencies - an array of classes and choreography offered to schools, studios, colleges and universities

Moving Ethos Audition

Moving Ethos Dance Company will hold an audition Saturday August 7th from 1pm to 4pm. The audition will be held at Stage Door Studios, 3755 South Tuttle Avenue Sarasota, FL 34239-6410. Moving Ethos is looking for professional dancers to join their 2010 - 2011 season. We are also seeking two apprentice positions for pre-professional dancers. All positions are payed per performance.
