Setbacks don’t just happen, they happen for a purpose. A door closing should be thought of as a source of new strength, not as a failure. Those who are optimistic and able to fight off adversity use the wisdom of ‘One door closes, another door opens’ as incentive to move ahead. Those who fall over and play dead remain losers throughout life.

Don’t let a negative attitude be an obstacle. You can change your attitude.

We all get knocked down in life. It’s not the end of the world. Forces out of your control may have brought an opportunity to an end, but even then, it can lead you to something better.

You must use your own efforts to push a new door open, using that setback as an inspiration to move ahead and make a new beginning for yourself.

Some additional tips:

Be willing to let things go.
Go forward with an open mind.
Proceed slowly, but do proceed.
If changing your situation seems too overwhelming a challenge, think of short-term goals first.
I believe in me – that’s what you’ve got to say to yourself.
Determine your assets and skills and how you can apply them in other areas.
Consider working for yourself or starting your own business.
Look for ways to help others.
Persistence pays off.

It doesn’t matter how many times you fail, all you need is one success.

Even in tough times, their are opportunities to be found. I believe in having multiple streams of income as an added protection in case we loose an income source. If you currently work at a traditional job, it is a great idea to add a home based business as it has many benefits. Since I have been in the home based business industry for 12 years I can offer support and help for anyone interested in creating an additional income stream.

Debbie - you hit the nail on the head. Attitude is the only thing, it is EVERYTHING! Through the years, many doors closed (some I closed myself) and sometimes that hallway was pretty DARK for a time, but there was the light at the end of it I did eventually see.

We are faced with many more challenges today and, in the world of technology, the pace accelerates constantly. I just pull my seat belt a bit tighter and HANG ON!

Thank you for the positive outlook. So many people are losing jobs, careers, etc. in this economy...a home based business is more security than another job. Believe in yourself and start something that will help people and help yourself and your family. I have been in a home based business for over 16 years and love the freedom and security it brings me. Over 4 years ago I had a severe car accident and couldn't work, my income from my home based business provided for me. See my blog on Eiro Research for a great opportunity for those interested in a home business for themselves.
