It’s that time. Time to evaluate your fitness goals. You have had over 180 days to squeeze in swimming, running, strength training, yoga, pilates, biking, walking, hiking, climbing, or whatever it is you wanted to accomplish and make part of your fitness routine. How’d it go?
Take time this week to revisit your goals. You still have time to lose that twenty extra pounds or run that half-marathon. Unfortunately, you may now be realizing that simply writing down goals doesn’t necessarily mean you accomplish them. However, believe it or not, having goals is half the battle.
Half of 2009 is over, but your goals are still within reach.
Use the following four steps to get refocused.
-Commit and take action (no excuses!).
-Make a plan and get after it (days/times you will train).
-Visualize the end product (new you).
-Celebrate (reward yourself for an amazing job).
Don’t blink… 2010 will be here before you know it.
*A fitness evaluation should be administered before attempting an exercise program. A fitness professional can customize your training based on your goals and fitness level.
