GET READY FOR TEN DAYS IN SARASOTA LIKE NO OTHER!

It’s time for the Sarasota Film Festival, March 27 – April 5, 2009. For ten days, you won’t be able to go anywhere near the Hollywood 20 without feeling the high energy excitement! The opportunities abound. You’ll see yet-to-be released films personally selected by programming staff for their potential for greatness. Months later, you may find your self boasting that you met the filmmaker when the film is shown at Regal Cinemas or Burns Court. Or due to stiff industry competition, you may view films that will not otherwise be seen by the general public. At films which feature Q&A’s, you’ll be able to ask your burning questions of the actors and filmmakers. In the evenings, mingle, eat, and dance at high style events with friends, filmmakers, celebrities and others in the industry.

WQ will be bringing you the news each day as we’ll be on site viewing films, mingling with filmmakers, taking photos and capturing videos. While each year, thousands of people enjoy the festival, it’s amazing how many people say throughout the year, “I’ve always want to go, but never ended up going.” In spite of anything else you’ve heard, this festival has gotten better each year with last year’s festival being the cream of the crop. The quality of the films has graduated to some of the best films of the year. This year, make it your year to go; you’ll be glad you did!
