If you're looking for Mr. Right, then don't waste time with Mr. Wrong. If you are a woman who wants to get married or wants a committed relationship, then don't continue to date a man who clearly doesn't have the qualities you want in a life partner. If you have a relationship goal, then stay goal-focused. You wouldn't keep working at a job that wasn't in line with your career goals. Therefore, why would you continue to date a man who clearly isn't husband material?

Too many women continue to date a man with the constant thought in their head that maybe he'll change one day. What you see is what you get, and you are going to get more of the same. So if you don't like what you see, start searching for someone who is good on the eyes. And I don't mean just visually, I mean right through to his very core.

While it takes a long time to really get to know a person, you can see some indications of whether or not a man has the qualities you are looking for within the first few dates. While it is important to know what you do want, it's just as important to know what you don't want. Make a list of qualities or behaviors that you absolutely will not tolerate in a relationship. When you see the first signs of these behaviors, run the other way. One note of caution, no one is perfect; we all have flaws. Yet there are some flaws that you will never be happy living with. So ask yourself, "If a person was everything else I wanted, could I tolerate this particular imperfection for the rest of my life?" If so, proceed with the relationship. If not, it's time to call it a day. Every day, you spend time with Mr. Wrong is a day you are not going to find Mr. Right. The sooner you end a dead-end relationship, the sooner you're liable to meet Mr. Right. Time is too precious; stop wasting it, and get what you want out of life.
