Marketing Tip: Make your website work harder

Over the years website SEO has gotten a lot of press. Usually with mystery and high costs involved.

Unless you are selling nationally or internationally your website just needs a few tweaks to perform better in your market.

You can make your website work harder today by changing just a few things. If you need your webmaster's help ask them to do it for you. It should only take an hour or so so make sure you establish the cost for the work ahead of time.

Make sure your website has a short sentence with keywords in it for the title tag
Make sure your images have ALT tags
Make sure your text content uses the keywords -- believe it or not I've seen quite a few websites that don't even use the major keywords that are important to them!
Localize your website by using the city, county or state in your content.
