Carole currently lives in Bradenton, Florida where she continues to create her art, compose poetry and music, writes and illustrates books and volunteers at Animal Shelters. Her love of Cats has inspired much of her work, and her 2 black cats Miss Bronte and Mr Smokee continue to entertain and inspire her.
I have recently become fascinated with the amazing history and art of creating Mandalas.
A Mandala is more than just a pretty picture. From the Indian language of Sanskrit, meaning Sacred Circle, Mandalas are gateways to our divinity, the God in us. The art of centering that which is fragmented.
It is the basic structure of creation in the world as we know it: Earth, Sun and moon. It is found in nature, as seen in biology, geology, chemistry, physics and astronomy. Mandalas represent centered wholeness.
Mandalas can be simple or intricate, and anyone can create one. They are totally absorbing, relaxing and fun to do and assist us in the process of awakening our soul to it's full potential, in our own personal journey towards unity, peace, harmony and wholeness.
Our wistful mermaid dreams longingly of Frogs turning into handsome Princes', and of having legs instead of a fishtail. She knew there was something fishy about those Fairy-Tales, 'cos she's already kissed the Frogs!

Hi Carole,
I spent 2 weeks in NZ back in 1999. It is, by far, one of my favorite places in the universe. I hope to go there again to sail. I am an avil sailor & have puller for the Kiwi's in the past 2 America's Cups. I have 3 fine felines-2 eight year olds who were featured in the Cat a Day calendar this year...and a 1 year old. I love your art work. Thanks for contacting me. Winny
Thanks for the response. I have six cats - they are all special. Do you sell your mandalas? I am opening up a new store in NC and might like to put some in the store. I am just getting back into painting. I have a commission right now and am half excited and half scared to death! I liked the typo too - grabdaughters! when I re-read what I had typed I was going to correct it - but I thought it was a freudian slip - so let it go - you are the first to get it! Look forward to hearing from you again. Linda
Hello Carole,
Thanks for your comment! I do have a website, but I'm working on a new one. The current one was built for me by someone who has dropped off the face of the earth, and I need one I can update my self. Live and learn, right? I'm going to check out your website when I get home tonight. Let me know if you might like to come by the Art Center. I'd be happy to give you a tour and talk with you about our exhibitions. Call 365-2032 or email me at barbara@artsarasota.org. Have an awesome day!
My! You are quick again in recognizing the new photos of Jack and me! You were indeed the inspiration behind my posting them. When you asked if I knew Jack, I figured, "What the heck! I'd better post a couple of pics and clarify the connection." Depending on the time the two of you are planning to meet on Friday, I'll see what I can do about being there. Thanks for your positive energy.
As I am writting you this reply, your voice is singing to me... "YEAHHHH!" What a beautiful voice. You've requested from me some feedback, advise, and direction, it would be my pleasure to do so. Let us meet for conversation and empowerment, at a cafe or reataurant of your choice, in downtown Sarasota or Bradenton.
