Thank you everybody for all of your kind wishes, support, and prayers. All of the staff at the Venice Hospital were more than kind. They really really need to extend the coffe shop hours though. Caffeine is a whole food group in my little world especially at O-dark-thirty when I have to drive way out on River Rd (which I am convinced somehow goes through Idaho - it's sooo long) and then back up to Sarasota. My sister got through the surgery, but because of complications it was not successful… Continue

A picture is worth a thousand words - or a life. My wonderful, effervecent, fabulous sister suffers an incurable disease called FMD. I won't try to explain the condition to everybody, but one of the symptems is horrific migraines that are completely debilitating and last for not just hours, but days. She has been fighting with her health insurance company for months for a life preserving surgery while her health deteriorates. Her… Continue

Hi -- One of my paintings, “Leper Beauty” is in the WQ|mag Fall Art Contest, and voting starts today, August 31. All WQ|mag members can vote once a day for the Prize Winner from now thru September 6.

This is to invite you to link to the voting page from Wqmag.com (see “Click Here to Vote” on the Home page) and vote for painting #6, “Leper Beauty." It's one I created in Bali, Indonesia while involved in a hands-on healing program at the Leper Community in Lalang Linggah. Miraculously, within 90 days of my finishing the artwork, the 23-year old subject, a girl who had had leprosy all her life, experienced a complete reversal of the disease.

More about the painting and about the potential cause for the girls’ miraculous healing are posted underneath the image. WQ|mag members can vote once a day for their favorite artwork from August 31 thru September 6; so please vote early, and vote often. All the best. . . Enjoy!

Warmest regards, Jack

Hi Chellie -- Having just spoken on the phone with you about restretching a few of my paintings, I have taken measurements to find that the canvases measure as follows:
1 canvas 44" x 46"
2 canvases 44" x 68"
1 canvas 48" x 72"

Please quote me on restreching these poorly stetched, sagging canvases, which already have their own stretcher bars. You may email me at yohiel@yahoo.com, call me on my cell phone, or reply to this comment with prices. Thanks. I appreciate it.

Many blessings, Jack

Hi Chellie,

Your photo gallery has a warmth, a sense of being part of the family, though the family is not yours. This is a genuine gift, to capture the world you see, to make it so familiar, that a real sense of family envelops the viewer. Impressive Chellie... "OOPS!" Excuse me Chellie, allow me to introduce myself, my name is Jack Alexander. I am an artist/designer, among other practicing venues. Your perfect centering and formatting of the three framed images also caught my attention. I've several pieces of work that need to be re-stretched, and, or, matted, and then photographed. Take a look at my WQ Mag page, with accompanying links, and let me know what you feel from your viewing of these images.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Warm Regards, Jack Alexander, Artist

She has been fighting with her health insurance company for months for a life preserving surgery while her health deteriorates. Her children took a picture of her during a migraine and her son,Aiden, suggested that they send it to her Dr.s so that maybe they would "help Mommy". I'm in tears as I write this -her surgery is scheduled for 10:30 tomorrow morning... I will post the photos.
