Establish as a target or goal fat metabolism and lifetime weight management.

The healthy goal for people is to lose weight and then maintain their weight at that level. The $89 billion a year weight loss industry is a testament to the failure of that goal.

Simply providing a “better” weight loss product or diet plan does not guarantee body compliance or weight goal retention for that individual or for them to have a better quality of life.

There is another component to good health and wellness. Which is how much body fat are you carrying around. This is an important thing to think about.

Overweight is more than just about how we look

One of the most significant health challenges we face globally, as well as individually, is the rapidly increasing incidence of being overweight. The frustrations involved in the seemingly never ending battle of the bulge are highlighted in the statistics below.

U.S. DIET TRIVIA:

• The U.S. is number 1 in the world in the percentage of its population that is overweight.
• 45% of men diet - 61% of women diet.
• The average time on a diet is 10 weeks.
• The average dieting woman spends 6.4 months per year on a diet.
• The typical dieter starts at age 20+ and continues until age 60+.

Why just lose weight when you could lose
FAT instead?


So why is there the 95% long term failure rate after dieting?

While multiple factors may be involved, one in particular can be improved! In a reduced-calorie diet, half of the weight lost is fat, but the other half is muscle. When you gain the weight back – it is gained back as fat. Loss of muscle decreases the resting energy expenditure – i.e. fewer calories are burned, more are converted to fat and stored - and the vicious cycle of yo-yo weight loss and weight gain continues.

The next thing is that excess body fat! Excess body fat is bad for your health. It just doesn’t look too good it’s also bad for you health. You need to get lean. You need to be lean.

Today we’re going to be talking about a fat loss product I use in my practice. Not a weight loss product. Why is this so important? Every body has a weight loss product. And it seems there is a new one invented every week. But it’s all the same stuff. It’s either going to be a stimulant which are potentially dangerous, will potentially slow you’re metabolic rate and over time make you fatter over time.

Or it’s a colon cleanse. The advertisements say if you take our magic berry product you can lose five pounds in two days. If you have five pounds of waste material in your colon and you flush it then you will have lost five pounds. But did you lose five pounds of body fat? No! You would have flushed your colon anyway.

There are a lot of scams out there. What do you want to lose? You don’t want to lose weight! You want to lose fat! Fat is the bad thing. What’s the rest of your weight? The rest of your weight is water.

You don’t want to dehydrate. And there are weight losses products that just make you urinate constantly. And when you stand on the scales you say Wow! I urinated out two pounds today! But did you lose fat? No! So your weight is water.

It’s muscle mass. Muscle weighs three times more than fat per inch. It’s very heavy. And you lose bone mass. That’s weight. We want you to lose fat. Not muscle! Not water. Not bone! We want you to lose fat.

If you just measure your waist or your hips you might have lost body fat from the upper arm this week and you didn’t even know it. And people who might only weigh themselves say this stuff isn’t working anymore. My weight hasn’t changed. If you measure you’ll know. I measured my waist again this week but I didn’t lose any thing this week. But did you measure your upper arms and your thighs and your calf’s. Did you measure your neck and your shoulders and your chest? Well No! Do It! You need to see results.

If people don’t see loss with their fat loss program they will quit. Quit is not an option. Nobody quits. So what do you do? You help them see successes. Every 7 days have a measure. They start at the neck and measure and work their way down. Every 7 days.

I only want to lose from my hips this week. Too bad you lost it from your upper arms. But you lost it. You are succeeding.

A tip is to lose fat is to do it with others but lose. Measure everybody once a week. Wow! Sally lost three inches this week. See the changes and all the happiness together with the support. It’s easy to do.
