It has been a while since any of you last saw me and I thought I would drop in and give you an update on my progress. For those that don't know I have been on a journey of improving my health. Losing weight, exercising 2 to 3 times a week in aqua aerobics class, basically re-evaluating myself and improving on what I found lacking.

When you first met me this is what I looked like at 250 lbs.

Let me take you back to where I really started when I got married I weighed 326 and didn’t see a need to change. I was healthy (I thought.) and didn’t have any health issues that I was aware of.

Having tried everything in the book I only managed to get to 296 and was on a see saw between 296 and 298 for the next few years. This was me at Christmas.

Like they say when you hit rock bottom there is no where to go but up. Well that happened to me this year and I knew I had to do something to improve me.

This is my journey so far. I started the core 4 March 1, 2009 to get my body working properly. My immune system and cells were shot. I had a long list of pharmaceuticals that had be prescribed for a corresponding list of aliments. Barely able to walk across the floor and having to depend on friends and family to help me shop and clean my house I knew I needed something to change. Like they say when you hit rock bottom there is no where else to go but up.

So after being on the core 4, I was feeling much better and was allowed to start going to a gym to take aqua aerobics. The doctor had already informed me that the only way I was going to exercise was in the water. I continued taking the core 4 and exercising but added the Osolean to my daily routine. What a blessing I did. At first I didn’t see the scale move but I noticed I was able to move better and my clothes were bigger on me. We took my measurements and I had lost inches. About 2 and half weeks into taking the Osolean I started seeing the scale moving and it was going down instead of up. Each time I got on the scale I wanted to celebrate but I made sure not to weigh too often since everyone knows one day person can be up or down a pound or two depending on water weight. I weigh twice a week only and on the same days at the same time.

You should have seen me when I weighed in the gym and the scale actually went below 280. I shouted Praise the Lord! I was so happy. But not as happy as the day I got to 250 and let me tell you the day I actually got off my scale and double checked it to see if it was broken. I woke up as usual and when about my morning routine and then weighed. When I saw the weight I looked and thought I saw it wrong. Then I thought I must have done something wrong. Next I thought the scale was broken so I got off and double checked to make sure it was balanced at zero and it was. So I got back on and sure enough I was 238. I can not even remember when I weighed in the 230’s. Now I am at 236 pounds and I went to see the doctor, which I don’t dread any longer by the way.

The last time I was there and I weighed 250 my cholesterol had come down 100 points and he was so pleased. This time when I went and he saw that my sugar levels were in the normal range on a regular basis and how well I was getting around he told me something and I could tell it came from his heart because he had tears in his eyes. He said: “When I first met you I promised myself some how I was going to see you get well. You were such a sweet joyful person that had been buried by all of the pain from all of the things that were wrong with you. Now you are like a phoenix rising out of the ashes.” Plus get this he wants to know more about how I did it and wants to refer other patients to use the same products.

A couple of weeks later I went to see my cardiologist and after seeing him every month for almost a year he says I don’t have to come back for 9 months. He was happy with my results that he gave me a big hug.

I wish I could help people understand that to lose weight the body has to communicate. Once it is communicating then it will do what it supposed to do as far as protecting and whatever else it needs to do. With Osolean it is not a fad diet where the weight will rush back on and bring several more pounds with it. Osolean helps you burn fat and you will see inches appearing in your clothes. I went from a size 26/28 dress down to a size 24 and from a 3X down to a 2X. I won’t be long until I will be in the next size down.

Let me share something funny with you. A few years ago my late mother gave me this beautiful dress but I could never fit into it. So I gave it to my mother-in-law thinking she would give it to someone that could wear it. Well their 50th wedding anniversary is in October of 2009 and we needed dresses of a certain color. My mother-in-law called me and said do you remember this dress. Well no I didn’t it had been so long ago. So when I went over there she showed it to me and it was still beautiful and the tags were still on it. When I saw it I remembered the dress and it was the perfect colors for the anniversary party. She had me try it on and other than needing hemmed it fits perfectly. The funny thing is if I lose any more weight before the party she will have to take the dress in so it will fit. Who would have ever though I would be wearing that dress and that it would have to possibly be taken in?

This is me today.

I summary I am still on my journey and the best thing isn’t the clothes and the compliments but the change I feel inside of me. I see and feel different, better, healthier and each day there are changes taking place in my body that are for the good. I am able to do things today that I thought I would never be able to do again.

Bonita, How wonderful for you! Is that the dress in the last picture? You are doing such a great job, keep up the good work. Lisa
Yes that is a dress in my last picture and the head shot I put on my WQ is taken from that as well. Thanks
Bonita, I enjoyed reading your story. Good for you! I am so proud of you. What a feeling you must be having. Only someone that has been through what you have gone through can truly appreciate the depth of your accomplishment. I can only imagine. Congrats, Wes
Thanks Wes. I am feeling great and very happy but I know my journey is not over for a healthy life is one lived daily. I have a long ways to go before I am at the weight I am supposed to be at but I am enjoying every step.

You look beautiful in your new "old" dress. Being healthy is the most important part of your journey, but getting new pretty clothes is a perk! I meant to ask you what is Osolean?

Congratulations Bonita.. You Look Great!
Thanks. I tried the dress on today for my in-laws anniversary again for the final hem to be done. It is so loose on me. I hope it looks nice in the photos. I will have to see if someone has a cell phone that can snap a photo so I can upload it here after the party.
