Networking is easy if you approach it with the right attitude.



There are some easy tips to feel confident and comfortable.



1) Take a deep breath before you go in and adjust your attitude. Say some affirmations like:

I prefer to eat at local independent restaurants. Today I had the pleasure of dining at Karr's Cafe at 3025 N. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota. Wow! Vegetarian, Vegan and "Where's the Beef" all in one restaurant. I highly recommend it. Remember local shopping and dining makes a huge different in our Local Economy.

Be Authentic. To me, being authentic means being yourself and believing in what you are saying and doing.

Are you selling a product that you don’t have faith in? Unless you are a good actor or actress people will see it and feel it. If you are in this position find a new job or a new product because, it is unhealthy. It creates cognitive dissonance, so you will likely lose self esteem and lose the respect of others.

The first time I went to Big Sugar about 9 months ago and It was OK. I gave them a second chance a couple months ago and recently had dinner there and I was blown away. The food is fantastic, the presentation gorgeous and the service was excellent. I encourage you to try Big Sugar soon. In season they are open for lunch too, WQ Mag could meet there for the lunch networking, it would be great.

Be authentic, totally honest, only promise what you can deliver. If you keep this in mind you will succeed because your clients will believe you and believe in you because you deliver. If you say or do something that you don't really believe in, everyone can tell! Your heart has to be in it.

I couldn't help wincing as I read what I thought would be funny. The Dating Horror Stories were very funny but also very disturbing.
