Marketing Tip: People are changing

Recently I've noticed articles about electric cars and people's expectations.
  • In the past people expected electric cars to cost more, now they expect them to compete with similar gas powered vehicles.
  • In recent history people expected electric cars to do what gasoline cars do (go 300 - 400 miles on a tank of gas), Now they are smart enough to realize that most of their trips are short and a car that goes 40 or 100 miles without recharging is OK too.
If you…

Muffin Tops...How To Get Rid Of Them

A muffin top is an unflattering term for excess skin or fat that falls over the top of a pair of pants.
It’s a common problem – and one that few people want to have. Muffin tops are usually, but not always caused by excess abdominal fat – but not always. Even slender women can have a muffin top when the skin becomes stretched during pregnancy or after a sudden change in weight. What’s the best way to… Continue

Are You Shaman?

Shamanism, the world's oldest spiritual path, is founded on the ideals of centering, personal responsibility, and loving respect for nature. Much like being a true artist or a genuine medical doctor, being shaman is an art.

To develop an authentic, shamanic path, one must not only accept the calling; one must also be recognized and…

The Day I Found Out I Was a Butterfly

I was set free.

Oh yes free from the little voice in my head that says to me “You’re going to do something else? You’re going to read another book? You’re going to try that?” I have to tell you that little voice has been a plague to…

Opportunity knocks!

We live in a world of opportunity. We just have to look for and be curious. Narrow focus may miss the big one! Then, we may have to take a risk. How big a risk is it? What if we do nothing, or the same old same old? I reconnedted with an old friend today at a luncheon. We're going to meet again and see how we can help each other.

Relationship Tip of the Week: Bring Work Home

This week’s relationship tip is to bring work home. My advice is not to literally bring work home so you have less time to spend with your spouse. My advice is to bring the skills, energy and ambition you utilize at work home and apply those same skills and motivation to your relationship.

Did you know that most people treat the people they work with better than they treat their spouse? Think about it; it’s true. I bet you’ve said things to your spouse or significant other in your…

Julie Hewett™ Make-up – Finally a Place to Land

In the old days, I would try one brand of make-up after another in the search to find the best. A drawer full of partially-used containers of blush, foundation, eye shadows, lip liners and lip gloss proves my search was futile. That was until I discovered the Julie Hewett™ Los Angeles line of makeup. Since having the opportunity to review Julie’s cosmetics, I no longer quest for just the right shade, texture, taste or staying power; I have…

GENERAL HOSPITAL MISSES THE BOAT!

Hollywood continues to pass up opportunities to portray women without hair in a fashionable and dignified manner. General Hospital’s current series has fictional character Shirley Smith undergoing chemotherapy for brain cancer. Shirley has lost all of her hair and is seen wearing an outdated turban type of head wrap. Millions of women are watching this show and may be led to believe that this type of head wear is the only thing available if they… Continue

CALLING ALL MOMS !

We love them unconditionally, even when chastising them. One glance at those adorable saucer eyes, reveals their complete and utter trust in us. So even as they run amok through the house, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake, we forgive them.

No, I am not talking about that cute little puppy (and off the record) I am still trying to forgive Annie for those Gucci's)

I am referring to those other adorable, (Hmm wonder how much boarding school is ?)…
