Relationship Tip of the Week: Identify What Works

Too often, people focus only on what doesn’t work in their relationship. When you focus on the positive, your relationship will become more positive. What you focus on expands. This week, take the time to identify what does work in your relationship.

Ask yourself these questions:

• When you are getting along well, what are you doing differently than when you aren’t getting along?

• When you’re arguing and the fight finally stops, what did you do to turn things…

Harmony Health Acupuncture and Herbs - "Improving Your Health ... Naturally."

Many of you are regular exercisers. If you are, you're obviously doing your body a big favor.

In addition to making one look and feel better, one of my favorite natural health sources, Dr. Anthony Mercola, says exercise actually stimulates the production of new brain cells by… Continue

Do you have any "HAIR" questions that I may help you with... Just ask "ME" I'm the hair expert!

I've been a hair-care professional for over 22 years. I have served and helped people over the years with their health and the changes that can happen over time. As we age over time our hair loses its natural sebrum oil. In your 20's it seems to be at its healthiest peak. As we grow into our 30's and 40's we lose more and more which causes the hair to dull out and become brittle. And over time the hair thins out and becomes noticeably different. You have…

Read the Signals

Feelings and negative emotions are signals. Anger, sadness, fear, shame, anxiety and depression are all signals that something in life is out of balance. In relationships, the signal may that you are being mistreated, tolerating behavior from someone else that you shouldn’t, or perhaps that you are treating someone else poorly or not acting within your own integrity. Emotions are designed to get you to move. They remind you to make changes, and call you back to your values.

Although…

This Summer Special is Truly Special

Pampered hands and feet, perfectly painted, glistening nails, smoothed skin with no evidence of daily wear and tear from stilettos – most of us luxuriate in the relaxation of a good manicure and pedicure. As for me, I’m always looking for deals on pedicures, but most of the time, the best deals are at oriental nail salons. These are the same salons that are notoriously questionable in their hygiene and products and routinely rushed in their services, getting you in and out of the pedicure chair… Continue

Marketing Tip: People are changing

Recently I've noticed articles about electric cars and people's expectations.
  • In the past people expected electric cars to cost more, now they expect them to compete with similar gas powered vehicles.
  • In recent history people expected electric cars to do what gasoline cars do (go 300 - 400 miles on a tank of gas), Now they are smart enough to realize that most of their trips are short and a car that goes 40 or 100 miles without recharging is OK too.
If you…

Muffin Tops...How To Get Rid Of Them

A muffin top is an unflattering term for excess skin or fat that falls over the top of a pair of pants.
It’s a common problem – and one that few people want to have. Muffin tops are usually, but not always caused by excess abdominal fat – but not always. Even slender women can have a muffin top when the skin becomes stretched during pregnancy or after a sudden change in weight. What’s the best way to… Continue

Are You Shaman?

Shamanism, the world's oldest spiritual path, is founded on the ideals of centering, personal responsibility, and loving respect for nature. Much like being a true artist or a genuine medical doctor, being shaman is an art.

To develop an authentic, shamanic path, one must not only accept the calling; one must also be recognized and…

Are you hungry after eating – even if you’ve just enjoyed a full meal? This is a common problem many people have – especially those who are trying to lose a few pounds. Opportunity knocks!

We live in a world of opportunity. We just have to look for and be curious. Narrow focus may miss the big one! Then, we may have to take a risk. How big a risk is it? What if we do nothing, or the same old same old? I reconnedted with an old friend today at a luncheon. We're going to meet again and see how we can help each other.

Relationship Tip of the Week: Bring Work Home

This week’s relationship tip is to bring work home. My advice is not to literally bring work home so you have less time to spend with your spouse. My advice is to bring the skills, energy and ambition you utilize at work home and apply those same skills and motivation to your relationship.

Did you know that most people treat the people they work with better than they treat their spouse? Think about it; it’s true. I bet you’ve said things to your spouse or significant other in your…
