16 days after the first cleanse ...feeling great!
Update July 14, 2009:
Starting my second liver cleanse this Friday with Aliya Rybak (
http://livinghealthyinstitute.com). It’s now been three weeks of detox; my weight is down (about 16 pounds), my allergies have gone, and I’m sleeping pill-free for the first time in 3 years. Aliya will also be on my Sunday radio show…

This week’s tip is about being your self. How many times have you based what you are about to say on how you think your partner will react, or what you think he wants to hear? How often do you gauge what you do on his expected behavior? You probably know the drill. You express the opinion or answer you think he wants to hear because you are afraid of being rejected if you say what you really think. You tiptoe around him in an effort to avoid igniting further the bad mood he already seems to be…

Almost everybody knows about the dangers of having high blood pressure. When people have low blood pressure they may assume that it is a good thing. Not necessarily so. Unfortunately, if you have low blood pressure and are eating correctly you must consume some extra salt. Extra salt consumption is not conducive to losing weight so this means that you will have to be extra diligent on your diet. I believe that often people are attracted to certain foods because of internal imbalance. The same…

Are you focusing only on the muscles you can see in the mirror? I bet you don’t look in the mirror and say, “Wow, my upper back is looking good,” or “check out my hamstrings.” Unfortunately, most strength training programs focus on muscle groups like the biceps, abs and chest. If you continue to work the same muscles over and over again, you develop muscle imbalances. Muscle imbalances lead to postural deviations.
I am sure you have seen men (or women) at the gym that look hunched over…

The popular ad campaign that states milk helps us lose weight is FALSE! No wonder everyone in America is confused about what to eat! People often think that they are safe if they drink non-fat skim milk for the calcium. All dairy products have LACTOSE even if they are fat free products. Lactose is the sugar naturally found in the milk of all mammals, but is not found anywhere else in nature. Our body cannot absorb lactose because the molecule is too large to pass through the small intestinal…

Tomorrow always seems like a good day to make health behavior changes. Many people want to eat better and exercise. Instead, they procrastinate with excuses like I’ll wait until I can save money to do this or it’s too cold out for exercising so I’ll wait for better weather. Months and even years go by without taking action. Before they know it, they’ve gained 20 pounds or have more health problems.
There is something in every one of you that waits and listens for the sound in… Continue

CPR facts and statistics
About 80 percent of all out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in private residential settings, so being trained to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) can mean the difference between life and death for a loved one.
Effective bystander CPR, provided immediately after cardiac arrest, can double a victim’s chance of survival.
CPR helps maintain vital blood flow to the heart and brain and increases the amount of time that an electric shock from…

Whether it’s an invitation to a wedding, a shower or a dinner party, an invitation usually comes with an important obligation…RSVP!
RSVP comes from the French phrase "répondez s'il vous plaît", meaning "please respond". If RSVP is written on an invitation it means that you must tell the host whether or not you plan to attend…no problem right? But what is the proper protocol when that familiar ‘fill in the blank’ reply card is not included?
Once upon a time, reply cards…

I must confess that I had never heard of Camellia oil prior to receiving a collection of Julie Hewett Los Angeles makeup. So when I initially opened the package, my first reaction was “What’s this?” followed by “Why did she send this to me?” Now I can totally understand why anyone would want to pass the word about these Camellia oil products. My face loves drinking in the moisture of the Camellia Balm Pot, and it carries a glow long after applying the…

The concept of
lingerie being visually appealing was a development of the later nineteenth century. It is a common case with women to select underwear for three major purposes: to alter their shape, for reasons of hygiene, or for modesty. First they used to wear corsets and later girdles or bras. Women's underwear before the invention of the crinoline was often very large and bulky. As the 20th century progressed underwear became smaller and more form…
